About us The Darmstädter Ratskeller Hausbrauerei
Our craft brewery is located on the south side of the marketplace, just across the castle, in the Old City Hall of the city of Darmstadt. The Old City Hall (das Rathaus) was built in 1598 after the plans by Jakob Wustmann.
Since 1989 the only Craft Brewery of Darmstadt is located on the ground floor, the cellar and the 1st upper floor.
Enjoy our excellently crafted and traditionally – of course after the purity requirement – brewed beer and typical German dishes.

Our beer-garden with a stunning view at the castle invites you to stay during summertime.
In other respects, our house meets all of your wishes, whether the Braustube with the big bar area on the ground floor, our restaurant Regenten-Stube on the 1st upper floor or our brewing cellar (smoking area) located in the historical vault cellar.
